Once again, interior designer Kelly Wearstler shows her talent and genius, this time in a spacious Bel Air home. Present are some of her signature pieces designed by her, as well as her passion for unique lighting, and vintage pieces spanning the Art Deco 20s to the abstract 60s. She is heavily featuring brass, which is making a very strong comeback in interior design, as well as her love for pietra dura or inlaid marble, and strong geometrics like stripes and pyramid shapes. I really like the Jean de Merry chandelier over the Pedro Friedeburg table in the entryway, and the gold and brass kitchen, but I especially love the very long sconces in the living room which were salvaged from a Roman cinema. Click on each one of these images and drink in her heady creativity.

BEAUTY: Interior--Kelly Wearstler
Kelly Wearstler has designed an absolutely stunning home for a couple on Mercer Island in Washington. The home combines some of Wearstler's more recognizable signature design elements (a faceted desk, a de Sede sofa, marble and onyx slabs, and Porter Teleo wallpaper) and styles (a great interest in floor details and very strong graphic patterns) with a surprising darkness. Contemporary pieces are artfully combined with vintage pieces from the 60s, all the way back to French Art Deco pieces from the 20s, which are especially apparent in the breathtaking two-story library.
Particular standouts include a dining room with purple Murano chandeliers, and a jaw dropping kitchen with a brass island and custom hexagonal ceiling light fixtures.
Some of these images will be included in Kelly Wearstler's new book RHAPSODY which will be released in a few days, on October 23, 2012.
