Missouri-based CURE Design Group created this extraordinary home which exhibits modernist restraint while still being luxurious. There are some high-profile, famous pieces of furniture such as the Mies van der Rohe day bed, classic Castiglioni arc light, and Platner coffee table in the sitting area, an Eames lounge chair in the adjacent television lounge, and a Saarinen tulip table in the eat-in kitchen. Despite the fact that these are iconic pieces from legendary designers and manufacturers, they do not feel "legendary" and they are not "shown off," but are instead integrated into a lovely design that feels minimal while actually being textured, eclectic, interesting, and a tiny bit decadent. I particularly love the wrapped Zeppelin chandelier by Marcel Wanders in the dining room, and the marvelous agate-print wallpaper in the bathroom.
